Reason # 2

A saint! One must be a saint to put up with an alcoholic. A saint: who sacrifices herself for her family and children. Puts up with the drinking problems; gives up parties and any kind of social activity; offers love and gets pee and puke to clean. How much sacrifice? Unfortunately, there are thousands of mothers who think that way! They can’t see that when they do so, they are not respecting themselves neither their children. They are exposing them to a sick, disrespectful and degrading relationship. Arguments and fights don’t set a good environment to them. Who likes to see parents fighting or arguing all the time? Who likes to see a house turned into a battle field? Who likes to see their parents – who supposedly should be in love and respecting each other – disrespecting each other and themselves over and over again? Who likes to have birthday parties, celebrations, Christmas or even a regular night at home ruined by arguments?

Be careful to not lose yourself while trying to fix someone else.

Fix You

Coldplay

When you try your best, but you don’t succeed,
When you get what you want, but not what you need,
When you feel so tired, but you can’t sleep
Stuck in reverse

And the tears come streaming down your face
When you lose something you can’t replace
When you love someone, but it goes to waste
Could it be worse?

Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try, to fix you

And high up above or down below
When you’re too in love to let it go
But if you never try, you’ll never know
Just what you’re worth.

Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try, to fix you.

Tears stream down your face,
When you lose something you cannot replace
Tears stream down your face
And I… [2x]

Tears stream down your face
I promise you I will learn from my mistakes
Tears stream down your face
And I…

Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
I will try to fix you…
