Men get charming and women get old
A gray haired man is charming. A grey haired woman is not taking care of herself properly. A man with a wrinkled face is experienced. A wrinkled woman is a) poor and can’t afford Botox; b) rich, but afraid to death of needles; c) careless. Men get charming, women get old. The media, and women themselves, won’t forgive the ones who dare to show their natural looks. Getting old is not a natural process anymore. Botox, cosmetic surgery, filling shots, breast implants, cheek implants, implants everywhere, liposuction, tummy tuck, and nose job: surgery became a natural procedure nowadays. What should we do? Ignore the aging process? Undergoing a cosmetic surgery is a decision that should be taken seriously. The biggest problem is that people are not respecting some limits and, instead of getting younger they end up looking frozen. They are mummifying. Some years ago, men in their forties would change their forty-year-old wives for two girls in their twenties. Nowadays their wives look like they are in their twenties and many men are still dumping them. What has changed? Nowadays, women do the same: they also get their twenty-year-old boys. What’s the difference? Men get theirs to have fun. Women get theirs to raise them. When they get in their fifties, their boys are going to get two twenty-five-year old ones. The truth is that, in the aging math, women will always loose. It doesn’t matter if it is due to the media or peer pressure, male reproductive instinct or extreme vanity. Everybody is getting old. What are the limits to slow down the aging process? What sets vanity apart from obsession?
